Boardmasters tickets 2019 on sale as top surfing event heads to CornwallJuly 17, 2018
Boardmasters, the UK’s biggest surfing and music event, returns to Cornwall in August 2018.
Tickets for the event, which takes place from 8 to 12 August, are on sale now with weekend tickets starting from £179 and day tickets from £59 here.
Glamping tickets are on sale from £56, while individual beach sessions music performances can be purchased from £17.50.
The festival combines surf competitions featuring the world’s best pros combined with live music and some of the world’s biggest music stars.
The surfing competitions are qualifiers for the World Surf League (WSL) and attract surfers from around the globe to compete on Fistral Beach and they are free to watch.
The highly anticipated Boardmasters QS1000 and LQS1000 will then run from Wednesday 8 August until Sunday 12 August 2018. Boardmasters will offer Britain’s best professional surfers, such as Ben Skinner, Luke Dillon, Adam Griffith, Lucy Campbell and Peony Knight the chance to compete at an international level whilst in home waters.
Surf lessons, BMX competitions, skate parks and art installations will also be available on Fistral beach as part of the event.
The music linup on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is a who’s who of top performers with Catfish and the Bottlemen, Chemical Brothers and George Ezra headlining the three respective days.
Other acts on the Friday include Miles Kane, Kano, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Raye. Saturday sees Years & Years, Editors, MNEK, The Sherlocks and Isaac Gracie take to the stage.
The final day includes George Ezra, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Fat Freddy’s Drop and Declan McKenna all performing at the festival.
Other stages away from the main stage include a host of acts such as Craig David, Annie Mac, Lily Allen, Everything Everything, Friendly Fires, The Horrors and Feeder.
